Shout out to Tye Tribbett and SoundCheck who performed last night with The Roots, Wed. Feb 7th, on the Jimmy Fallon Show! Tribbett’s latest album Bloody Win was recorded live at Redemption Church in Greenville Church which will soon be lead by the most popular pastor in America right now, John Gray.
Have you noticed lately how many gospel artists have been live guests on media platforms that are not so usual?
My eyebrow raised and my heart leaped when #1 Christian rap artist, LeCrae performed on the Jimmy Fallon show back in 2016 (see article here) Not just because one of my friends, music teacher, and a IndieGospelRevealed favorite, Brandon Gilliard was seen on stage playing with him and Lalah Hathaway either. Nah uh! (see article on Brandon here).
Then, I was even more taken aback when I saw a gospel artist, Tasha Cobbs, ministering! on the popular prime time Good Morning America (view here) and being interviewed by television broadcaster, Robin Roberts.
Something is going on in the atmosphere when you start seeing this type of phenomena. It is not always a money thing. Although many both in church and out of church have become pessimists based on their bad experiences, there is, believe or not, still pure motives and intentions out there. If you’ve never known this, you may want to change your circle of influence.
Ultimately, there is a thirst for Truth and very few people really know who “he” is. Keep watching.
Meanwhile, stay tuned for more updates on last nights performance on the Jimmy Fallon Show!
