So this week while the black conscious community begins to point out how the ratings of Tyler Perry’s movie, Boo, are insurmountable in comparison to the ratings of Nate Parker’s Birth of A Nation, we are also finding out that upon arrival to a particular theater in Delaware, people are being told under false pretenses that the movie is sold out. All the while he was being urged to purchase the ticket of any other movie in the theater.
While we were being convinced that “buffoonery” wins every time over history and community awareness, one black man accidentally stumbles upon the answer of this supposed rating failure.
“I have a dream that one day” instead of pitting one successful artist over another or one fan base over another, we will not be diverted from the real issue(s). Check this out below:
